Schooling/Competition Livery
"After years of doing my horses myself I would never of thought of having them in any form of livery let alone allowing someone else to ride and train my horses and compete them on my behalf !
The day arose when work commitments were making it almost impossible for me to care and produce my horses to the high standards that I had committed myself to for many years.
I sent my young horse Max Power to Amber just 8 weeks ago to further his education and hopefully take him to a little dressage show for experience.
Amber has cared for and produced my horse to a very high professional standard with amazing competition results which have far exceeded my expectations, coming 2nd at his first one day event with a 26.5 dressage!
I can highly recommend AWE livery and have already secured a place for a rising 4yr old for Amber to compete next year.
Thank you Amber and your team great job !"

"Amber is one of the only people I can have complete faith in looking after and riding my precious horse ‘Pig’.
I worked with Amber for several months during my gap year and we share a similar outlook when it comes to stable management, with the happiness and welfare of the horses being the top priority. You would struggle to find anyone more dedicated to the individual needs of each horse, irrespective of their age or value.
Not only is she a balanced and confident rider but she also endeavours to understand how the horses think and what makes them ‘tick’.
Despite being a far more experienced rider than me, Amber has no problem taking my direction about what I would like Pig to work on leading up to me coming home from University. I have often come back for the weekend needing Pig ready to go and compete the following day. As we all know the preparation before a competition is paramount and the rosettes we’ve come back with are largely down to her.
I can’t recommend AWE livery enough and I’m sure my rather sensitive, quirky horse would agree!"

Flicker went to Amber Woodhouse in December 2013, originally booked in for two weeks for some training over Christmas. When Flicker went to Amber she was uneducated and didn’t even have a trot to canter transition.
Flicker was warmly welcomed to the yard by Amber and Immy and was happily settled and ignoring me by the time I left.
I went to see her being ridden again by Amber and her improvements were amazing. She was a different horse in just over a week, with lovely transitions and even a walk to canter!
She was so happy at the yard, I decided for her to stay. This ended up being six months. She won her first ever dressage competition with 67% and also did some BSJA, with just four faults in her first attempt.
Amber’s understanding towards her was fantastic as she is not an easy horse. Amber spent a lot of time with Flicker and would never rush anything and this really showed.
The care and training was outstanding I couldn’t be any happier. During Flicker’s time with Amber I also had to undergo an operation. Amber was very understanding about the fact I could not come and see Flicker, so kept me updated with videos.
The whole time Flicker was with Amber videos were taken so I could see her improvements, which was great. Amber even put a lot of effort into making a video showing Flicker doing a little bit of everything. I was very grateful for this. Amber and Immy will do everything they can for you to insure you and your horse are happy with everything.

"A quick up date to let you know how well Acco has settled in. He is everything we could have dreamed of and more. My daughter plans to do her first ODE event on him in the next couple of weeks and will let you know how it goes. He has been easy to manage, as promised, just a delight to handle, well mannered and happy. Our instructor says he has been carefully and correctly produced and he is quick and willing to learn, so we are all very excited at what the future holds. You certainly have a good eye for a horse and I will contact you in the future if my son's horse does not work out.
Best wishes, Sally"
"I bought Jungle from Amber three months ago and he has settled in really well. He is exactly as described and I have had no nasty surprises. Amber spent a lot of time ensuring I knew as much as possible about his personality, his likes and dislikes and his funny characteristics. She also sent me several photos and videos of him. I would have no hesitation in buying another horse from her."
"Dear Amber,
This is just to say a big thank you for selling Sam aka Grampian Knight to us. I know he was very special to you and I hope we will be able to give him a loving long term home. So far he is everything you said, he is truly very talented and very clever at jumping, I feel totally safe letting my 10 year old daughter ride him at camp and compete on him even after only a couple of weeks of knowing him. I know you said she would be fine but he is such a big striding horse - it has been a huge leap for Zoe coming off ponies. As you said his dressage will take time, but he certainly knows his stuff and when her legs are longer I am sure she will get a more consistent contact. Sam is a real pleasure to own, so many people have asked where did I find him, so we are very proud of our purchase.
I will keep you posted as to how our summer goes and hopefully send you a photo or two.
Many thanks, Anna"

Before Amber started teaching me I was having problems with my pony, but after just 4 lessons I was full of confidence and my pony was going nicer than ever! She took the time to teach me no matter how busy she was, even if it was at a ridiculous time in the morning and snowing!
She would never put a time limit on lessons, sometimes you would find us in the school an hour and a half later still working! Her lessons are fun and challenging and after every lesson I would come out with a big smile on my face!
With exercises adapted to different people and horses I would happily recommend Amber to anyone in all 3 phases. She works on building confidence in both horse and rider and showing you how to get the most out of your horses! My riding has improved in such a small space of time, thank-you Amber for everything :)
