Anita and Immy went down in the lorry (yes, the lorry!!! :D) with the horses (Acco, Tiny and Leo), and I drove down to get there first and find where everything was; then we unpacked the horses and the lorry, Immy's mum arrived with the motorhome, I drove Anita and Diana back to Gatwick motorhome depot so they could go back home in the Boomerang direction, then back to Hickstead to start the fun!
When I got back, Immy had done a great job and settled all the horses in and unpacked all the food into the motorhome. We had lunch and then rode the ponies.
We took Tiny and Leo out together, who were feeling fresh as they knew it was a big deal, and I had my first disaster of the week when I went to get a schedule from the show office while Immy held Tiny (from on Leo), and I tried to get back on her off a fence whilst holding the schedule. She's normally really good with things like this but she deliberately moved backwards as I jumped so I landed on her neck, near her head and one little fly leap and I was straight off the other side! I landed on my feet but was laughing too much to keep hold of the reins so she trotted off to play with Leo and was fine to get on the next time!
We put the ponies to bed and walked 4 courses. At least that was one big job done with 7 rounds of jumping tomorrow; they were very up to height but we've done our homework and are feeling ready!
Let's see what tomorrow brings! :D
