We took Accolino 2 (Acco) and Cosmic Clover to jump at Crofton Manor last Friday, sadly it was a rosette free day but both jumped well and Acco jumped a double clear in the Newcomers. We had a bit of a mis-communication error in the 1m speed class when I went to do a really tight turn after a fence and he just did it before we'd jumped the fence we were supposed to do before the turn! I couldn't knock him for trying, he was fantastic, but unfortunately it was 4 faults for a 'run-out'.
White Walker (Squirrel) has come back into work after being off since Barbury. His foot is finally looking better but we will take it very slowly with him; he owes me nothing and only time will tell what he wants to do and what he's still capable of doing...would love to do the 2* at Weston this year but there are no plans set in stone.
Will go again when this relentless rain lets up, and then we're off to Aston-le-Walls on the 4th March.
Tiny went to East Soley today and came 3rd and 5th in her two classes, (still LOTS of improvement needed, she finds dressage far too boring and prefers cross country), but there were glimpses of some very nice work so will keep trying...she'll get there eventually!
Tynybry Nelson produced some much improved work, coming 2nd and 4th in his two classes and gaining his first BD points.
Off to Merrist Wood and Hartpury next weekend to hopefully qualify each of them for a second class for the JAS final, so fingers crossed :)
