With no idea what might happen and no real expectation other than I was confident I'd done my homework with them all, it was a pretty enjoyable day.
All impressed in the dressage, Tiny scored 39 which we couldn't believe at the stage she is at! First time out on grass with lots of exciting things and those boring white boards, but she held it together with no naughtiness! Leo behaved impeccably with a few greenness issues showing to score 35 and Cosmo produced a lovely obedient test for 33. Leo and Cosmo produced easy show jumping clears, Tiny just got a bit bored and distracted at this level and just had one pole purely through a lack of concentration but then her and Leo jumped lovely clears cross country.
Apart from Cosmo deciding halfway round that actually he wasn't that sure he did want to go cross country, he jumped a lovely round. The fences themselves hadn't caused any issues, he just thought the lorry park direction looked a far easier route...how wrong he was! His jumping was foot perfect and he gave me a really lovely feel and hopefully has learnt his lesson for next time!
All in all pretty pleased with the first event, they certainly felt well prepared from all their JAS competitions, and pretty much unphased by the whole thing, which was very encouraging.
